My future at DA ! Don't worry...

Sun Oct 11, 2009, 2:04 PM
I'm going to officially go into lurker status. So I'll still be around to comment and fave and such ;) I do this so people know (instead of guess) that I'm having to think less about making new art for here.

HOWEVER!!! I have not nor will I forget the projects and collabs and trades I already have going here, i.e. I'm slowly working on a sprite collection for a couple of my watchers and sketching a painting for :iconultema: and preparing for a collab with :iconkilderok: ...and possibly another, but I can't remember.

My reason for going on the back burner like this is two fold. I have class and work =(. AND, I'm working on Runewood Abbey, a webcomic authored by my sister, Rachel, and drawn by me.

Some may complain that I've made no new art, but its not true! I make a new page every week and hope to increase the dosage soonish too! I just can't post them here... So yeah. I'm busy. But its the good kind of busy!

Link for the comic is here: [link]
And there are links so you can vote ;););). There is also a facebook fan page.

I know it's shameless advertising myself, but, hey, when you turn art into your profession, you gotta do something like this sometime, right? =D

SPRITES!

Mon Jul 20, 2009, 11:01 AM
I love to make sprites and want to make more!

Cases in point:[link] [link] and even [link] these are all OCs of mine... so... y'know, don't touch unless you got permission.

They're fairly simple, low quality, low res and whatnot... I guess most might call it SD (super deformed) or even "chibi"

Anyway... to help me relieve stress of working on our webcomic [link] I will make sprites as requested from whoever wants them!

I'm doing this cause its fun! But I don't want to have too much fun so I'm going to limit the amount of sprites to 5 at a time...

Runewood Abbey - week 4

Mon Jul 6, 2009, 9:37 AM
Here we are at the start of the forth week since the launch of Runewood Abbey and, coincidentally, the forth comic (having been on a one comic a week schedule).

Hopefully, we'll be able to put up more than one a week, but I'm still trying to get into a process groove, working out the bugs and settling into a consistent style.

I have some pointers for anyone who wishes to make a webcomic.

It helps to have a well put together site on which to post. Preferably it has its own site instead of posting it here on DA for example. Luckily and thankfully, my sister (who is the author of the story itself) also happens to be an amazing web designer.

Also, it helps to JUST DO IT!! Commit oneself to a schedule and stick to it without fail. If its not a priority, it won't get anywhere. If you get bored, do what other webcomic authors have done: make filler pages of whatever you want just to think about something else for a change. THEN, get back to it!

Believe me there will be some times when I'll need a break. But instead of forgetting about it for a while, I'll post something else just to keep me on track with timing.

So yeah, I hope anyone who has been keeping up with it is enjoying it so far! Ciao!

Runewood Abbey - official launch!!

Sat Jun 13, 2009, 11:04 PM
Doing all this has been easier now that I have a new computer. Thanks goes out to those who pointed me in the right direction! =)

My sister and I have put together a fine website with which we shall begin to regularly post a web comic! She writes the story complete with dialog and everything while I am the artist. Its a process that will take some ironing out, so for the time being we'll only be updating once a week (technically on Saturdays).

Please come and support! =D And thank you ahead of time ;)

BLOOD AND ASHES!!!

Fri May 22, 2009, 10:36 AM
My computer died!! Waaaaaaa  Hopefully the hard drive is ok enough to pull everything off of it to back it up...

Its really inopportune because this summer my sister and I were going to start Runewood Abbey, our joint webcomic. It'll be hard to do if I don't have a compy... Even worse, I don't have any money for a new one it if it comes down to it.

Heheh, I guess I'm just whining. I'm sure there are plenty out there with worse problems than me. The good news is I haven't forgotten about the promises I've made ;)

They are in no particular order:

Gift art for :iconultema:
Request from :iconstellarwind:

aaaaaand anything else I can think of, keeping in mind the amount of time I have and the current aforementioned restrictions. MAN... I dunno what to do about that... :|

So how is everyone else doing? Groovey? Spiffy? Specdiddlytacular? Fanfreakintasic? Boss?
